Experience

Elizabeth Donahue RD, LDN

I am a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist in my home state of Florida. I completed my studies at Florida International University in Miami, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, earning a place on the dean's list.

During my time at FIU, I had the privilege of being selected for the highly competitive coordinated program. This program provided me with invaluable supervised practice opportunities in collaboration with FIU, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, and various community agencies and nonprofits across different rotations.

From 2012 to 2022, I worked as a pediatric dietitian in a special needs primary care clinic. In my role, I focused on designing and implementing customized feeding plans that cater to the unique needs of my patients and their families. I collaborated closely with their primary care physicians and other relevant specialists to conduct nutrition assessments and interventions, including enteral and oral feeding management, meal planning, nutrition counseling, grocery shopping plans, coordination with external agencies like WIC and public schools, and direct counseling and planning for older children and teenagers as appropriate.

In 2022, I founded Rebel Nutrition. I was inspired to do so by my desire to meet with patients and clients without a third party to tick boxes for. It means I get to focus only on my patients, free from the constraints of a large, bureaucratic hospital system. I also see patients via the Nourish platform which enables me to conduct telehealth visits in multiple licensed states.

My recent work over the last several years has expanded from pediatrics to a broader clientele presenting for many reasons. Weight management, diabetes education, eating disorder recovery and general health counseling are among some of my most common areas.
